The AIDS memorial bells have found a home. Formerly a mobile memorial to victims of the disease, the 26 bells - one for each year of AIDS deaths since 1981 - were installed Sunday in a new chapel at King of Peace Metropolitan Community Church. "They are representing thousands and thousands of people who are dying of AIDS every day," the Rev. Lorraine Brock, below, said. "Whether they're in Africa or Asia or the United States doesn't matter. This just is a reminder that it has not stopped." The bells will be rung Nov. 30 at the World AIDS Day Prayer Breakfast in Clearwater. The church agreed to house the bells to show solidarity with the AIDS community, Brock said. One bell a year will be added to the collection until there are no more deaths resulting from the disease.
