Golf: Dunedin takes PCAC golf title

Dunedin captured the PCAC golf title and Calvary Christian claimed its first Bay Conference Championship on Tuesday at Wentworth and Feather Sound, respectively.
The Warriors, who fell a stroke short of Shorecrest in last season's championship, cruised to victory with a score of 293 in the 18-hole event at Feather Sound. The drama, however, came when the Warriors' Mike Baskovich and Tyler Hancock tied at 71 for low medalist after 18 holes.
That wouldn't be decided until five holes later.
On the fifth playoff hole, Baskovich's approach came up about 8 feet short and he made the putt for birdie. Hancock's approach was off the green and he chipped within 2 feet for a tap-in par.
Dunedin (158) slipped past East Lake (160) for the PCAC team title, with the Falcons' Justin Foster taking low medalist at 35. Tarpon Springs' Alec Konstantin, Palm Harbor's Mike Elias and East Lake's Nick Buccina carded 38.
