The Hillsborough D: Great Wall of China?
By JOE SMITH, Times Staff Writer
Published October 11, 2007
When describing Hillsborough's dominating defense, Riverview tailback Jahleel Addae put it best: "It was like they have (the Great) Wall of China on the goal line." The Terriers D has epitomized stingy, posting four shutouts in a 6-0 start. But if Hillsborough is going to stop one of the state's top passing attacks in Plant (4-1) on Friday night, the Terriers will rely on their three cogs.
There's the sackmaster, senior defensive end Moses McCray (an FSU commit), who consistently draws double teams. There's senior linebacker Marc Thomas, the heart of the Terriers D and leading tackler. And there's hard-hitting safety Chuck Grace, who will, as coach Earl Garcia says, "simply knock you out."
