The big rivalry St. Petersburg Catholic is struggling through a 1-5 start under new coach Tod Creneti. But that hardly matters tonight. The Barons are hosting their biggest rival, Clearwater Central Catholic, in a game that should have a boisterous crowd and bragging rights at stake. The Marauders have the better record at 4-2, but have lost their past three in this series on the road. Looking ahead There are many important district games on tap next week. That means teams cannot be looking ahead this week against nondistrict opponents. Sinking feeling Tarpon Springs started the season as one of the surprise teams in the county after going 3-0. Two weeks later there's still plenty of buzz around the Spongers. But not for the reasons anyone would have thought. Tarpon has made a beeline in the opposite direction, losing two straight. The Spongers will look to get back on track tonight against Dunedin.
