Pinellas: Sunday Morning Quarterback
So let me get this straight: Tarpon Springs beat Dunedin, and East Lake got Northeast? Are you serious? It's getting to the point where we're thinking about flipping a coin on our staff picks. That's bad news for us. But the good news for area fans is outside of the machine that is Largo, nothing seems to be for certain. Here's a look at a few players that caught our eye this week.

Special teams shoutout
Josh Sharpie , Tarpon Springs
The kicker was 2-for-7 on field goals entering Friday's game against Dunedin. He made amends by making all three attempts, including a 47-yarder with 1:45 left that proved to be the winner in a 22-21 victory.
Jeff Ijjas , Clearwater Central Catholic
He missed his first field-goal attempt against rival St. Petersburg Catholic before hitting four straight, the last a 34-yarder with 2:28 left to give the Marauders a 26-23 victory.
Tarvin Jones , Keswick Christian
He showed why he is one of the county's most dangerous players on special teams, scoring on a punt return for the third time this season in a 52-6 victory against Oviedo Master's Academy.
Curtis Fisher , Keswick Christian
Fisher is just as valuable in the return game. He scored on a kickoff return for the second straight week
Defensive Player of the Week
Brent Scannell , Countryside
The junior defensive back made his presence felt. Scannell collected a sack and picked off a pass that he took back to the Boca Ciega 11-yard line, setting up a Cougars' touchdown. Oh yeah, Scannell also took an end around 40 yards for a touchdown on offense in a 27-20 win.
Offensive Player of the Week
Sean Shelton , Palm Harbor
The Hurricanes won their second game of the year Friday, thanks in large part to Shelton's arm. The junior quarterback racked up 226 yards through the air and tossed three touchdown passes in PHU's 35-23 win against Osceola.
Notables
Danny Wood , Clearwater Central Catholic, LB
Wood scooped up a fumble and took it 30 yards for a touchdown in the Marauders' 26-23 win against rival St. Petersburg Catholic.
Blake Robles , East Lake, QB
Robles tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the Eagles' 17-7 upset win against previously unbeaten Northeast.
Leonard Johnson, Largo, QB
Johnson threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 94 yards another score in a 34-14 win over Lakewood.
A'Darius Anderson , Dunedin, QB
The Falcon threw for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 22-21 loss to Tarpon Springs.
Josiah Fisk , Tarpon Springs, DB
Fisk caught a touchdown pass, ran for another and picked off pass that set up the winning field goal against Dunedin.
Ohrian Johnson , Boca Ciega, QB
Johnson threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns before leaving the 27-20 loss to Countryside late in the third quarter with a back injury.
Kevin Tapp , St. Petersburg Catholic, QB
Tapp threw two touchdowns - 70- and 55-yarders - and also contributed to a pair of two-point conversions.
In a rush!
Largo's Brynn Harvey and Northeast's Jeff Brinson are trying to break the county rushing record of 2,490 yards set by former Packer Dexter McCluster. Here are each of their totals after Week 7:
