TAMPA - She may have been a bit disappointed with her finish, but Sickles freshman Alex Milan couldn't complain about her scorecard - she did have five birdies on the front nine en route to even 72. The ninth-grader earned the individual Class 2A, District 10 title Monday at Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club, leading Sickles to the region tournament Monday at Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club. "I was a little frustrated with my play on the back nine, but you can't be mad about shooting par," said Milan, who was cooled off by some blustery conditions, resulting in triple bogeys on the par-5 15th and par-4 18th. Teammate Amanda Bair shot 5-over 77 to tie for second place with Plant's Genevieve King. King was the only Plant player to break 80, but the Panthers captured the team title at 345. Individual qualifiers for regions included Alonso sisters Kaitlyn (99) and Karleigh Yarbrough (115), and Chamberlain's Amy Morina (109).
