Newsmakers
- Duke University recently recognized the District School Board of Pasco County as a top 10 district in the state of Florida for its support of the Duke Talent Identification Program. The seventh-grade Talent Search identifies gifted children, provides them with resources and the opportunity to learn more about their abilities. Students also have the opportunity to take college entrance exams alongside high school students.
- Academy at the Lakes graduates Kelsey Pitcairn and Katherine Taylor have earned the designation of "AP Scholar of Distinction" by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college level Advanced Placement Program exams taken in May.
