2. Gone Baby Gone - Ben Affleck co-wrote and directed this superb crime drama, based on the novel by Eckerd College graduate Dennis Lehane.
3. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - Long title, long movie and long on fine acting and breathtaking cinematography.
4. Michael Clayton - A ruthless fixer (George Clooney) for an insurance company has a crisis of conscience at the worst time for his clients.
5. Things We Lost in the Fire - Oscar winners Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro are solid as a dead man's widow and flawed friend sharing grief.
