NEW PORT RICHEY
A barber who spotted a man's distinctive tattoos after apharmacy robbery last week helped police make an arrest Tuesday. According to a report from the New Port Richey Police Department, here's what happened: Around 1:20 p.m. Oct. 11, a masked gunman entered the Pasco Pharmacy, 5445 James St., and demanded money from an employee, who gave him $639.62 and 1,700 tablets of oxycodone. The man fled in a vehicle, and someone called police. Based on a description of the man's tattoos, a detective identified the robber as Anthony Boughter. Meanwhile, Hector DeJesus, a barber at Infamous Styles across the street, got in his vehicle and followed the getaway car west on Gulf Drive toward U.S. 19. DeJesus got the tag number on the vehicle. Then, he spotted a red tattoo on the man's right arm, which he later described for police. Tuesday, police arrested Boughter, 24, at his home, 11621 Constance Drive in Port Richey. He is being held in lieu of $350,300 bail at the Land O'Lakes jail.
