Osprey Cup: Make way for the ladies

Osprey Cup What: 11th annual Rolex Osprey Cup When: Today through Sunday. Racing begins at 9:30 a.m. in the waters of downtown St. Petersburg (weather permitting) and ends at 3 p.m. Best viewing will be from the Pier. What: Ten of the world's top all-female crews competing in an America's Cup-style match racing format. The boat: A four-person Sonar keelboat. Competitors have come from as far away as Brazil and Australia. This year's field is expected to include USF's Rachael Silverstein, who at 18 is the youngest competitor on the match racing circuit; Anna Tunnicliffe of Plantation, who will represent the United States at the 2008 Olympics in the Laser Radial class; Liz Baylis of San Rafael, Calif., past Rolex yachtswoman of the year and the current U.S. Women's Match Racing champion.
