The following breakfasts and lunches will be served in Hernando County schools this week. Students in kindergarten through third grade have a choice of one entree and two side dishes plus a choice of milk each day. Students in fourth through 12th grades have a choice of one entree and three side dishes plus a choice of milk.
Elementary breakfast
Monday: Bagel with cream cheese or cereal with toast, chilled pears or assorted juices.
Tuesday: French toast sticks or cereal with biscuit, potato triangles or assorted juices.
Wednesday: Cinnamon raisin biscuits or cereal with mini bagel, fresh fruit or assorted juices.
Thursday: Pigglestick or cereal with graham crackers, applesauce or assorted juices.
Friday: Sausage and biscuit or cereal with animal crackers, chilled peaches or assorted juices.
Secondary breakfast
Monday: Bagel with cream cheese and graham crackers or cereal with two slices of toast, chilled pears or assorted juices.
Tuesday: French toast sticks or cereal with biscuit and Belly Bear Grahams, potato triangles or assorted juices.
Wednesday: Two cinnamon raisin biscuits with cheese snack or cereal with bagel, fresh fruit or assorted juices.
Thursday: Pigglestick with cereal bar or cereal with granola bar and graham crackers, applesauce or assorted juices.
Friday: Sausage and biscuit with animal crackers or cereal with biscuit and animal crackers, chilled peaches or assorted juices.
Elementary and secondary lunch
Monday - Entrees: Tossed vegetable salad, chicken fajita or shrimp poppers with roll. Choice of sides: Tossed salad, Spanish rice, chilled mixed fruit, assorted juices.
Tuesday - Entrees: Fresh fruit and cheese plate, fiestada or lasagna with breadstick. Choice of sides: Lettuce and tomato salad, seasoned green beans, chilled peaches, assorted juices.
Wednesday - Entrees: Caesar salad, grilled cheese sandwich or chicken nuggets with roll. A sugar cookie is included with the entree. Choice of sides: Antipasto salad, potato triangles, applesauce, assorted juices.
Thursday - Entrees: Chef salad, sweet and sour pork with rice or chicken quesadilla. Choice of sides: Seasoned peas, baked chips, chilled pineapple, assorted juices.
Friday - Entrees: Deli sandwich/wrap, double stuff pizza or popcorn chicken with roll. Choice of sides: Mixed green salad, soft baked pretzel rod, chilled pears, assorted juices.
