Irish writer to speak at book signing

Heller to discuss Legislature's work

State Rep. Bill Heller will talk about the recent work of the Florida Legislature at a community forum 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clearwater East Library, 2251 Drew St. The program is free and open to the public and there will be time for discussions and questions. Make your puppya better roommate

Is that new puppy leaping on visitors and chewing everything in sight? Puppy Manners class can help with a six-week session that begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Road. Participants will be taught voice commands, walking on leash and how to deal with puppy biting, house training and chewing. Special emphasis will be placed on socialization of puppies to people and other dogs. Classes are taught by certified dog trainers. Cost is $65 for Dunedin residents; $80 for nonresidents. Library's last sale of '07 is this week

A used books sale sponsored by Friends of the Palm Harbor Library is planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the library's community room, 2330 Nebraska Ave. Prices are as low as 10 cents for used magazines and books.
