Coin collectors, come out to show Saturday

The Zephyrhills Coin Club will sponsor a Coin Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Lodge #3752, 33710 State Road 54 E in Zephyrhills. Free admission and door prizes. Coins, tokens, paper money will be bought, sold and traded. Call Jim Marino at (727) 460-5276.

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce presents its Y.E.S. Pasco Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sports and Field, 2029 Arrowgrass Drive, off of State Road 56.
Cost is $10 at the door or $5 if a place is reserved in advance.
Ten bachelor and bachelorettes will offer dates for people to bid on. Call (813) 994-8534. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters. A cash bar and free beer will be provided as well as food.
Eat some flapjacks and catch a parade
The Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce Flapjack Festival is scheduled for Nov. 2, 3 and 4 at the Land O'Lakes Community Center on U.S. 41 in Land O'Lakes.
The parade is at 11 a.m. Nov. 3. This year's theme is "Thirty Years and Still Flippin." Call (813) 909-2722.
Knights of Columbus offers dinner, dance
The Knights of Columbus Chapter 6476, 2040 Grand Blvd. in Holiday offers a dinner dance on Wednesdays. Cost is $7 or $5 for the dance only. On Friday, The Cahal Dunne Show is scheduled. Cost is $22 and includes dinner. Reservations are required by calling (727) 934-8025.
Red Cross offers CPR/AED class
An American Red Cross Certified CPR and AED Class is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3 at Meadow Point II, 30051 County Line Road, Wesley Chapel. Cost is $60. Call (813) 991-5016. Cost includes books, breathing barrier, gloves and certification card.
Kids can learn bike safety at bike rodeo
The GFWC Lutz Land O'Lakes Woman's Club and the GFWC Little Women of Lutz will assist the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department with the annual Bike Rodeo at Lutz Elementary School from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Deputies will inspect bicycles and there will be helmets, lights and horns available. Kids can go through an obstacle course to learn bike safety. Kids can learn to fish from expert volunteers
The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will present the Third Annual Fall Fishing Festival on Nov. 17 at the Withlacoochee River Park, 12449 Withlacoochee River Blvd., Dade City. This event is intended to teach the basic principles of fishing. Participants don't need to bring anything. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will have its mobile fishing gear trailer on site. Also, there will be numerous expert volunteers ready to teach your child how to cast, bait, rig and choose the proper equipment. There will be plenty of food and drinks available for free. Haunted house, hay ride, more, all free
The Lacoochee Fall Spooktacular - sponsored by Pasco County Parks & Recreation in partnership with Pasco County Sheriff's Department, Boys & Girls Club of Lacoochee and Lacoochee Elementary School - is Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be information booths, games, hay rides and a haunted house. Flugelhornist and ensemble to perform
The Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel will present a special concert by Phil Provenzano & the Jazz Xperience on Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 a ticket. Provenzano is a world class flugelhorn artist and his jazz ensemble members have performed with some of the luminaries of the music world, including Christian McBride, Maynard Ferguson, Louie Bellson, Nick Brignola, Tim Hagans, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Billy Taylor, Bill Watrous, Joshua Redman, Clark Terry, Ron Blake, Tal Farlow, Tony Bennett and Duke Ellington. Music, rides and fun for entire community
Myrtle Lake Baptist Church, 2017 Riegler Rd., will present its alternative to the traditional Halloween as it hosts "Halleluiah Night" on the campus from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The aim is to provide a safe, free family event for the whole community with carnival games, inflatable rides, free food, live bands, door prizes and candy. The first 500 attendees will receive a certificate for a free chicken sandwich at Chick Fil-A. Door prizes will be given away every 10 minutes. Two bands, Rain 11:28 and Undecided, will perform. The highlight of the evening will be the Biblical costume contest in which the grand prize will be a Nintendo Wii, second prize an iPod shuffle and third prize a gift certificate to Blockbuster Video.
