DADE CITY Make a date to touch bait at fishing festival The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will present the Third Annual Fall Fishing Festival on Nov. 17 at the Withlacoochee River Park, 12449 Withlacoochee River Blvd. This event is intended to teach the basic principles of fishing. Participants don't need to bring anything. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will have its mobile fishing gear trailer on site. Also, there will be numerous expert volunteers ready to teach your child how to cast, bait, rig and choose the proper equipment. There will be plenty of food and drinks available for free. For more information, call (352) 567-0264. LAND O'LAKES Harvest food drive dropoff is Saturday The Harvest for Humanity food drive/fundraiser collection is Saturday. Those businesses, churches, organizations, families and individuals who have collected food to donate to Christian Social Services may drop off the items at Ferman at Cypress Creek on State Road 54 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Cash donations will also be accepted by Habitat for Humanity of Central Pasco at the dealership.
