Beer and, um, ladies put us on Maxim's list
By Times Staff Writer

It's been a year of unprecedented rankings for Tampa.
First the USF Bulls climbed to No. 2 in the college football polls. Now, Maxim magazine's November issue ranked Tampa its No. 6 party city.
It included this summary: "It's four o'clock: Do you know where your dad is? He's probably at one of the city's 49 strip clubs. That's more booby-barns than you'll find in Vegas. Yes, the city's median age is a list high 40.45 years, but citizens down 5.41 cases of beer at home annually."
Tampa ranked higher than New Orleans and Chicago. Miami ranked No. 1.

This is one of the reason we moved from Tampa. I was born and raised there. I have fond childhood memories. But I hate what these "booby-barns" have done to Tampa. It has ruined the God-fearing family image of Tampa. I would never raise my kids here.
