COUNTYWIDE The Pinellas County School Board meets Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the conference hall of the administration building, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo. Residents can speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering before the item is introduced. Presentations from the audience regarding items not on the agenda can be made at the end of the meeting. ST. PETERSBURG Canterbury School awarded $3,950 grant Canterbury School of Florida has been awarded a $3,950 Water Wise grant by the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Middle-schoolers will install rain barrels and build an aquatic ecosystem to enhance a native species garden on the Knowlton Campus at 990 62nd Ave. NE. MADEIRA BEACH Elementary school to mark 50th birthday Madeira Beach Elementary is celebrating its 50th birthday with a celebration at the school Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Alumni and friends of the school are invited. The elementary school is having its annual Fish Fry/Fun Fest/Auction on Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. COUNTYWIDE 17 school bus drivers to be honored for safety The role of a school bus driver in ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from school is as important as any other link in a student's day. These 17 Pinellas County school bus drivers will be honored for perfect records during National School Bus Safety Week, which ends Friday: Annie D. Hobson, Milton Fleming, Margie J. Moan, Cheryl B.
