Deputies look for man in kidnapping

Pinellas County sheriff's deputies are continuing their search for a man they say briefly kidnapped his girlfriend's infant son after striking the boy's mother and threatening to kill himself. The incident took place just before 8:40 p.m. Monday while Nicholas Curry, 18, his unidentified girlfriend and her 9-month-old son were driving home from the Jackson Playground. When the three arrived at Curry's home at 460 N Hibiscus Drive, authorities said, the woman tried to get her son from the car, but Curry chased her off and drove away with her son. The child was later recovered by Curry's father. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office at (727) 582-6200.
