Deputies searching for restaurant robber

SPRING HILL A little after 9 p.m. Tuesday, a man with a gun slipped through the back door of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on Commercial Way. According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, the man brandished a black handgun and demanded cash. He escaped with an undetermined amount of cash. No employees were injured and the man is still at large. He is described as white, about 5 feet 10 and 135 pounds. He wore a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans, and had a stocking over his face. The getaway vehicle was described by witnesses as either a silver Scion xB or Honda Element.
