Reception set to say goodbye to administrator

The public is invited to stop in and say goodbye to outgoing County Administrator Gary Kuhl at a reception on Nov. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the fourth floor conference room at the Government Center, 20 N Main St. in Brooksville Kuhl's last day in the position will be Nov. 9.Call 754-4002.

Have your historic artifact examined
The Hernando County Historical Advisory Commission will sponsor an Artifact Identification-Authentication Preservation Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1676, 17129 Wiscon Road. Visitors can bring their arrowheads, pottery and tools to be examined by the experts. A snack bar will be available and dinners will be available for $5. Flu/pneumonia shot clinic today
The Hernando County Health Department will offer a flu/pneumonia shot clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Brookridge clubhouse, 8150 Hampton St., west of Brooksville. Shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Flu shots are $25; pneumonia shots are $35. Medicare, cash and personal checks will be accepted. Call 540-6800, ext. 82052. Another clinic will be offered 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Heather clubhouse, 9100 Nakoma Way, north of Weeki Wachee.
