CLEARWATER - In a close game, Cambridge stepped up to the challenge when it was needed most, improving to 5-3. The Lancers were led by senior running back Taylor Cabral, who rushed 12 times for 124 yards. Cabral also took a swing pass from Lancers quarterback Michael Miller and raced 76 yards for what proved to be the winning touchdown near the end of the third quarter. Miller also went 2-for-10 passing for 50 yards. The Lancers defense came up huge, stopping the Warriors four times on fourth down and forcing Jordan Ankrom to fumble on the Cambridge 3 as Calvary was driving to tie with eight minutes left in the game. The Lancers sacked Warriors quarterback Buddy Adzima four times and pressured him most of the game, causing him to throw three interceptions. Calvary was led by running back Tommy Witcher who rushed 12 times for 89 yards and a TD.
