Scott Manning will appear at WordSmitten's Writing Workshop series from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Petersburg College, 244 Second Ave. N, to conduct a master class, with tips on marketing and visibility for newly launched books. Manning's clients include Mark Bowden Black Hawk Down and P. J. O'Rourke (CEO of the Sofa). Other speakers include Roy Peter Clark, vice president of journalism at the Poynter Institute and author of Writing Tools, and Elaine Fantle Shimberg (Write Where You Live: Successful Freelancing at Home).
