Time for new books about ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggety beasties and things that go bump in the night.

Ghost Hunting: True Stories of Unexplained Phenomena from the Atlantic Paranormal Society (Simon & Schuster), by Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson and Michael Jan Friedman, compiles the further frightening adventures of the guys on the Sci Fi Channel's series Ghost Hunters.

Encounters With the Strange and Unexplained (Andrews McMeel) by Matt Hoyle is a collection of photos of people who have run into spirits, monsters and UFOs, photographed at the sites of their collisions with the supernatural.

Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science (Forge) by Jeff Meldrum details the history of the ongoing effort to track Bigfoot, from prehistoric rock art to scientific skin ridge analysis.
