The following breakfasts and lunches will be served in Hernando County schools this week. Students in kindergarten through third grade have a choice of one entree and two side dishes plus a choice of milk each day. Students in fourth through 12th grades have a choice of one entree and three side dishes plus a choice of milk.
Elementary breakfast
Monday: Mini muffin loaf or cereal with mini bagel, potato triangle or assorted juices.
Tuesday: Strawberry Pop Tart or cereal with cinnamon toast, applesauce or assorted juices.
Wednesday: Scrambled eggs and biscuit or cereal with graham crackers, chilled pineapple or assorted juices.
Thursday: Breakfast Hot Pocket or cereal with animal crackers, assorted juices.
Friday: Chicken and biscuit or cereal with bear grahams, fresh fruit or assorted juices.
Secondary breakfast
Monday: Two mini muffin loaves or cereal with bagel, potato triangles or assorted juices.
Tuesday: Two strawberry Pop Tarts or cereal with two cinnamon toast, applesauce or assorted juices.
Wednesday: Scrambled eggs with biscuit and graham crackers or cereal with biscuit and graham crackers, chilled pineapple or assorted juices.
Thursday: Breakfast Hot Pocket with cheese snack or cereal with granola bar and Belly Bear grahams, assorted juices.
Friday: Chicken and biscuit with animal crackers or cereal with biscuit and animal crackers, fresh fruit or assorted juices.
Elementary and secondary lunch
Monday - Entrees: Yogurt and fruit plate, turkey corn dog, and meatball sub. Choice of sides: carrot sticks with dip, baked chips, chilled pineapple, assorted juices.
Tuesday - Entrees: Tossed vegetable salad, baked chicken with roll or fish sandwich. Choice of sides: Tossed salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, half an apple with peanut butter, assorted juices.
Wednesday - Entrees: Caesar salad, Italian Hot Pocket or chicken sandwich. A pumpkin pretzel is included with the meal. Choice of sides: Lettuce and tomato salad, seasoned corn, mixed fruit, assorted juices.
Thursday - Entrees: Deli sandwich/wrap, bean burrito or stuffed cheese sticks with marinara sauce. Choice of sides: Broccoli with (or without) cheese, onion rings, chilled pears, assorted juices.
Friday - Entrees: Tuna salad scoop with salad, Smart Pizza or hamburger. Choice of sides: Antipasto salad, au gratin potatoes, applesauce, assorted juices.
