TAMPA - Workers on Saturday repaired a ruptured gas line that had prompted police to shut down the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway for several hours late Friday night. Tampa police said a company using a backhoe to dig for a water line ruptured the gas line on Morgan Street, near the St. Pete Times Forum. The gas was turned off about 10 p.m. and the pipe was repaired. The Crosstown reopened early Saturday.
