Ginande Jester and Liza Johnson both have received a $500 scholarship from the Clearwater Civitan Club. Jester, of Clearwater, is in her third year teaching at Calvin A. Hunsinger School, where she works with severely emotionally disturbed or emotionally handicapped elementary students. She received her bachelor's degree from St. Petersburg College. She plans to work toward a master's degree in special education at St. Petersburg College and to specialize in speech pathology. Johnson, a resident of Ozona, has been a special education teacher for 12 years, 11 of those at Calvin A. Hunsinger School. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a master's degree in special education from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Johnson is striving to achieve National Board Teacher Certification, a yearlong project. * * * The Scottish American Society of Dunedin, 917 Louden Ave., is a social organization dedicated to the preservation of Scottish culture. The Society hosts Friday Night Ceilidhs, Scottish country dancing on Sunday evenings, line dancing on Tuesday mornings and other holiday dinners and parties.
