Senior menus / Meals on Wheels

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of frail elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. All meals include low-fat milk. Call to register. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.
Monday: Meatballs with tomato gravy, Potatoes Au Gratin, green beans with red peppers, whole grain bread with margarine, oatmeal raisin cookie.
Tuesday: Oven baked fish filet with tartar sauce, stewed tomatoes and okra, cheesy grits, whole grain sandwich bun with margarine, mixed fruit cup.
Wednesday: Halloween. Old fashioned frankfurter with mustard, baked beans and tomato bits, warm cinnamon apples, coleslaw with shredded carrots, hot dog bun with margarine, Halloween desert.
Thursday: Minestrone soup, breaded chicken patty with chicken gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, whole wheat bread with margarine, orange or apple.
Friday: Lasagna casserole, spinach, Italian vegetable medley, tossed salad with Italian Dressing, whole wheat bread with margarine, peaches.
