Free tickets to two concerts offered Tuesday

SPRING HILL
The Community Performing Arts Guild at Mariner United Methodist Church will distribute complimentary tickets from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, or until tickets are gone, to the first two concerts of the season: Bay Street Bassworks on Nov. 10, and the Tampa Bay Children's Choir on Dec. 1. Both groups will have two concerts at 2 and 7 p.m. at the church, 7079 Mariner Blvd. For information, call Phyllis at 544-1068.

Trunk or Treat fun to close street
Brooksville cautions motorists that Liberty Street between Lemon and Orange avenues will be closed from about 5 p.m. to dark Wednesday for the Trunk or Treat event at First United Methodist Church. For information, call Patricia Skipper at 796-3363.
Sip tea to sounds of violin, piano
The Columbiettes of St. Anthony's Catholic Church will host their annual Holiday Tea from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Heffernan Hall, 20428 Cortez Blvd. Entertainment will be provided by a concert violinist and a concert pianist. Various hot teas, as well as coffee, will be provided. Lunch will be served. Tickets are $7. For reservations, call Fran at 799-0901 or Norine at 442-3359.
Party has goodies for moms-to-be
Central Healthy Start Coalition will host a free Pregnancy Party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place. The event is open to moms-to-be in Hernando County. Participants will learn about community resources, play educational games, compete for prizes and watch a fashion show. Nutritional refreshments will be served, and there will be raffles. Those wishing to attend must obtain a free ticket, since admission is limited. Chicken barbecue set for Saturday
The Hernando Beach Marine Safety and Support Group will host a chicken barbecue from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Coast Guard Auxiliary, 4340 Calienta St. The meal will include half a chicken, coleslaw and baked beans for $8.
