Brooksville book discussion group: 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10, Lykes Memorial Library, 238 Howell Ave. The book discussed will be March, by Geraldine Brooks. Published in 2005 to critical acclaim, Brooks' novel is drawn from Louisa May Alcott's classic Little Women. It is a story based on an absent father, John March, who has gone off to war, leaving his wife and daughters. Disabled American Veterans, Cada Haddon Chapter 67 and Auxiliary: Thanksgiving dinner, 7 p.m. Nov. 7, 16314 Cortez Blvd. Members and their dependents are invited. Auxiliary members are encouraged to bring their spouses.
