Lions prepare for conference tournaments
The Saint Leo men's and women's soccer teams are preparing for the Sunshine State Conference championships this week.
The men (9-4-3, 4-3-1) earned a No. 5 seed and travel to Fort Lauderdale to face Nova Southeastern University today at 7 p.m.
The women (14-3, 6-2) are the No.2 seed, earning a quarterfinal bye, and will play No.3 Nova Southeastern or No.6 Lynn University at the University of Tampa during Friday's semifinals.
The women fell 3-0 to Barry University in their regular-season finale Saturday. With the loss, the Lions remained tied for most wins in a season (14).
Meanwhile, the Saint Leo men's basketball team travels to USF for a exhibition match Wednesday, then heads to UCF on Saturday.
