This picture was used as the front cover of a promotional brochure published in 1915 by the Port Richey Co. The name New Port Richey had recently been established with the founding of the New Port Richey post office. Dixie Highway, now Grand Boulevard, was the north-south route through the town. There was no U.S. 19. A train can be seen on the railroad tracks, and the railroad depot can be seen at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Nebraska Avenue. The large building on the south side of Orange Lake is the Sass Hotel. The two-story building on Main Street is the schoolhouse.
