Brisket Basket is making plans for a second location and legal moves to secure a possible franchising future, owner Linda Bernard said. In January, Bernard will open a location at 9617 Bay Pines Blvd. in the Bay Pines Plaza and has plans to open a half-dozen more throughout Pinellas County, with a menu that includes barbecued brisket. Bernard plans to franchise the concept. The initial location opened last year at 2500 Fifth Ave. N. With business strong, Bernard said she was ready for another location. See brisketbasket.com.
