Church offers free family film night on Nov. 10

ST. PETERSBURG Irving Park Baptist Church, 5001 71st St. N, St. Petersburg, will hold a Family Film Night, 6 p.m. Nov. 10 in its parking lot. Last Flight Out will be shown. The movie, popcorn and soft drinks are free. There also will be prizes. ST. PETERSBURG 'Boot Sale' set for Saturday at church St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 2500 16th St. N, St. Petersburg, will hold its first English-styled "Boot Sale" 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. A "boot sale" is where participants sell no-longer-wanted treasures from the "boot," or trunk, of their cars. Everything from jewelry, children's toys, household items, knickknacks and furniture will be for sale. Doughnuts and coffee will be sold in the morning. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for a small donation at lunch. Proceeds will help replace the church sanctuary flooring. Call Jennifer Rich at (727) 521-2810. PINELLAS PARK Meditation, painting workshops offered Dr. Rafael Catala will give a free meditation workshop 7 to 9 p.m. each Thursday in November, except Thanksgiving, at Good Samaritan Church, 6085 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park. Also, artists and nonartists are invited to the "How Great Thou Art" painting workshop, 10 a.m. to noon, Nov. 10. Katie Fullerton, owner of Katie's Kards, will help participants express feelings about the Creator in a painting. Participants should take a small paint brush.
