Far Out, Fun, Fall Family Festival: 6-8 p.m., Park Place Wesleyan Church, 4400 70th Ave. N. Call 526-3674.

Treats You Can Trust, Halloween in the Park: Treat trail for costumed creatures starting at 6 p.m., Town Square Plaza Park, 52nd Street and 80th Avenue, Pinellas Park. Costume contest with prizes. Categories include: spookiest, prettiest, most handsome, most original and best group. Age groups for the contest are 3 and younger, 4-7, 8-12 and 13-17. No age limit for the best group category. Judging begins about 7:30 p.m. Free. Call 541-0770.

Costume ball: Put on your best costume and get ready to swing with the big kids, 8 p.m., Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd. S. Special Halloween music and decor, a dancing costume parade, a monster Shim Sham and other spooky treats round out the evening. Swing dance lesson, 7-8 p.m. (no partner required). Door prizes and costume prizes totaling $150. The waterfront ballroom features a large dance floor and full bar. $7 includes dance lesson plus free parking. Call (813) 274-4950.

Haunted house: Get ready for the fright of your life at this haunted fundraiser from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight at 900 63rd St. S in Gulfport. Candy and treats will be given away at the door at this Halloween celebration, but visitors will be invited to take a haunted tour. Monetary contributions will be accepted. Bring canned goods to help the homeless ministry at Christ the Cornerstone Church.
