Benefit Trap Shoot for Central High School NJROTC: Registration at 8:30 a.m., shoot starts at 9 a.m., Hernando Sportsman's Club, on club grounds in the club in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area, off U.S. 19, north of Weeki Wachee. Those who preregister pay $35; on-site registration on the day of the event is $40. Lunch is included. Trophies will be awarded in age categories, as well as for Ladies High Score. Dragonfly920 Motorcycle Run Benefit for Hernando-Pasco Hospice: First bike to leave at 8:30 a.m., Suncoast Motorcycle and Marine, 14430 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. There will be five stops along the way. The donation is $25 per biker and $15 per passenger. After the ride, a free lunch will be provided by Checkers and the Stringer Band is donating entertainment. Pioneer Day at Chinsegut Nature Center: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, north of Brooksville. The event will include living arts demonstrations of the past, including hand-cranked ice cream, broommaking, a lumberjack demonstration, spinning, horse-drawn carriage rides, butter churning, ropemaking, open hearth cooking and an archery exhibit. The group will ride 110 miles with stops at Thunder Inn in Hernando, Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, IR-RU Family Social Club in Floral City and back to the Marine Corps detachment. Sand Hill Scout Reservation Turkey Shoot fundraiser: 8 a.m., Sand Hill Scout Reservation, 11210 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. Hosted by the Boy Scouts of America West Central Florida Council. For $125, a participant will receive enough ammunition for both skeet and trap, a cap and lunch. The cost to compete for a turkey certificate on the rifle range, using supplied .22-caliber rifles, is $25; 10 shots are given.
