Bethel Ame church marks 113th anniversary

ST. PETERSBURG Bethel AME Church, the city's oldest African-American congregation, is celebrating its 113th anniversary at 4 p.m. on Nov. 18. The Right Rev. McKinley Young, presiding bishop of the 11th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will speak. The theme of the celebration is "113 Years - Growing in Grace and Building on a Solid Foundation." Catholic women to hold fall luncheon The St. Raphael's Council of Catholic Women will hold its Fall Luncheon Games and Card Party at noon Nov. 17 in the church parish center. Lunch is $10 per person.
