North Suncoast: News and Notes
By IZZY GOULD AND DAVID MURPHY

The first win Times correspondent Mike Camunas was on hand to witness history as Wiregrass Ranch recorded the second-year school's first varsity win the Bulls played a junior varsity schedule last year before starting 0-8 this season.
Sunlake, meanwhile, had its most productive outing of the season, also its first at the varsity level.
Making history I
Sunlake has just nine games under its very young belt. But that doesn't mean it can't start setting records.
How about running back Mike Shaver picking up the longest play in the school's history Friday? The junior waited as a short kickoff rolled to him, picked it up at the 19 and skirted down the sideline for the score.
The Seahawks, however, are still looking for that elusive first win in school history.
Making history II
Forget Byronell Arline for just a second. Seriously. Sit down and take a look at what Wiregrass running back Chris Lewis did Friday night at Sunlake.
The junior rushed 21 times for a school-record 294 yards and four touchdowns. Lewis scored on runs of 35, 62, 42 and 50 yards.
Arline may get the headlines, but Lewis helped the Bulls get that first win, and he's happy with that - for now.
"We're both good runners," Lewis said. "But we're a young line, but I'm sure if we had the line like Arline did, we'd be going for the district as well.
"We're both good running backs, but we'll get there just like they did."
The A-Rod of the North Suncoast
He's the other, other A-Rod. Not the AL MVP candidate who interrupted the World Series or the power-serving tennis star who always disappoints at the U.S. Open.
This A-Rod - not the Alex Rodriguez of Major League Baseball or the Andy Roddick of tennis - is just Alex Rodriguez, the backup running back for Sunlake.
And this A-Rod, as he's frequently called by teammates and coaches, rushed seven times for 48 yards and touchdown - all in the fourth quarter.
