Here is a listing of public meetings scheduled for this week:

Monday

Brooksville City Council, 7 p.m., council chambers, Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Agenda: Seeking state permission to close downtown streets for the annual Christmas parade; discussion of the U.S. 41-State Road 50 connector road.

Tuesday

Hernando County Commission, 9 a.m., commission chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. Agenda: Auto allowance in County Attorney Garth Coller's employment agreement; departing County Administrator Gary Kuhl and Deputy Administrator Larry Jennings will present a status report on issues.

Hernando County School Board, 919 N Broad St., Brooksville. 1 p.m. workshop to discuss merit pay plan, middle school improvement plans and gifted education task force. 7 p.m. regular meeting. Agenda: Public hearing and final approval for school boundary rezoning plan; magnet school admissions procedures.

Wednesday

Hernando County Port Authority, 7 p.m., Linda Pedersen Park at Jenkins Creek recreation building, 6340 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach.

Thursday

Hernando County Health Care Advisory Board, 1 to 3 p.m., commission chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. Agenda: Election of 2008 officers; NAMI Hernando presentation.

Friday

Hernando County Value Adjustment Board, 8:30 a.m., commission chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. Agenda: Valuation petitions.
