Former Plant star Marve arrested, charged with misdemeanor

MIAMI - Hurricanes freshman quarterback Robert Marve met with coach Randy Shannon Thursday morning regarding "some personal issues that have caused him to have an incident in Coconut Grove on Wednesday night."

A statement released by UM went on to say, "The University and the athletic department are helping Marve with his issues. Any subsequent discipline will be handled by Coach Shannon."

A UM Sports Information official said that Marve, a former star at Plant High, had been arrested and charged with a misdemeanor, but wouldn't elaborate.
