The Suncoast Eye Center-Eye Surgery Institute has recently celebrated 25 years in business.
Founded in 1982 by Dr. Lawrence A. Seigel, who was joined by Dr. Alan M. Freedmanin 1985, the state-of-the-at facility is directly across from Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
It is a private, Florida-licensed and Medicare-certified ambulatory surgery center.
The Suncoast Eye Center is a multi-physician vision care center and surgical practice. The staff are dedicated to providing their patients with the most advanced technology from the most caring and experienced professionals.
The center specializes in cataract surgery, including premium implants, Tecnis, Restor, ReZoom and Toric lenses. They also offer the latest technique for glaucoma, eyelid surgery, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and strabismus, as well as Botox and Restylane treatments.

The Florida Institute for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in positron emission tomography imaging as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
In addition, the Florida Institute for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging is the only facility in the area that the American College of Radiology approved for PET in oncology, brain and cardiology imaging.
The facility was established in 1997 at 9238 U.S. 19 in Port Richey.
The Florida Institute is a leader in noninvasive cardiac CT, MRI and PET imaging performance. This state-of-the-art, American College of Radiology and Joint Commission-accredited facility combines comfort with technology to offer patients the most innovative diagnostic capability with medical expertise to diagnose and treat disease.

The Pasco Economic Development Council is pleased to announce Progress Energy as its fourth principal level investor, at $10,000. As a principal level investor, Progress Energy will receive a seat on the PEDC board of directors, which will be held by Michele Cavallo.
Cavallo is a senior economic development executive at Progress Energy, an investor-owned utility serving 35 counties in Florida. Cavallo has been with Progress Energy for 18 years and has extensive experience in external relations and economic development. Cavallo received her bachelor's degree in management from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.
PEDC is at 16506 Pointe Village Drive, Suite 101, in Lutz and was created in 1987 by a group of dedicated business and community leaders focusing on the economic vitality of the county.

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point is pleased to announce that its new MRI is now operational for serving inpatients and outpatients as well.
The suite is in the Imaging Department adjacent to the CT scanner.
The system provides excellent image quality for all MRI/MRA studies, as well as a variety of advanced neuro applications.
