Sembler tries homes with a taste of Key West

Sembler today will break ground on its first residential community, Duval Park, just south of 54th Avenue N and 1.5 miles west of I-275. The 10-acre neighborhood development will include townhomes and single-family Key West style homes. The development is also next to Joe's Creek Park, which will be improved after a land swap between Sembler and Pinellas County. Site plans and floor plans for Duval Park are at duvalpark.com.

Three stylists pool resources for salon

Three stylists looking for a salon decided to create their own and have opened Avenue 9 Hair and Nail Studio at 7110 Ninth Ave. N. The three equal partners, Angi Simpson, Wendy Molitor and Monica Frederick, have revamped an existing salon space and have room for others. The two hairdressers and nail tech pooled their money and formed their own company. Call 345-2170.
