Downtown Live After Five Tonight, downtown Tampa will transform itself into a steaming cauldron of music and urban fun with the return of Downtown Live after Five, a monthly block party featuring live music and entertainment. Point 6, a local Latin band, will open the soiree. Wander with your family and friends around the various venues, admire the downtown skyline, savor a cool beer, and choose to dine from more than 35 restaurants. Downtown Live After Five is also a fundraiser, and this month's sales of beer and wine will benefit Arte 2007-Tampa Bay's Festival of the Americas. On-street parking is free after 6 p.m. at any meter north of Kennedy Boulevard. Otherwise, park at one of the reduced rate lots and leap on a HARTline trolley, Route 96 or 98. Trolley rates are 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for seniors and children. Trolleys run every 20 minutes. The block party runs from 5 to 8 p.m., 500 N Franklin St. (between Madison and Twiggs), free. Future dates are: Dec. 7; Jan. 11; Feb. 8; March 14; April 11; May 9; and June 13, 2008.
