Kris Walter of Hudson and Danny Winters of Tampa weighed in a three-day total of 33 pounds, 1 ounce to earn $5,760. They were the first team to qualify for the season-ending tournament two straight years. Walter and Winters stayed near the launch spot to catch their fish, which worked for the second straight season. "That was our plan from the beginning," Winters told FLWOutdoors.com. "We finished second in last year's championship by fishing close, and we chose that strategy again, hoping bad weather would keep guys from making those long runs." The tournament will air tape-delayed at 11 a.m. Dec. 23 on Fox Sports Net.
