Clearwater 31, Tarpon Springs 16
By DOUG KATES, Times Correspondent
Published November 10, 2007
TARPON SPRINGS - Luke Loucks went 18-of-34 for 271 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tornadoes. "Coach said we were going to throw a bunch," Loucks said. "We stuck to the game plan." The Tornadoes held a 24-16 lead with five minutes left when all sorts of chaos took place. In one drive, the Spongers went from their 46-yard line to the 1-foot line, but personal-foul penalties destroyed the drive. With just more than a minute left, the Spongers ran a quick-snap play that led to a 50-yard touchdown, but the play was called back for illegal procedure. And Tarpon Springs coaches accused a Clearwater ballboy on the Spongers' sideline of relaying plays to his teammates. Clearwater 31 Tarpon Springs 16
