Plant 56, Robinson 0

TAMPA - After watching Plant quarterback Aaron Murray shred his defense for seven first-half touchdown passes in Friday's 56-0 Panthers win, Robinson coach Mike DePue was asked if Murray was better than former Plant quarterback Robert Marve.
"I think so," DePue said.
Marve, now at Miami, was Florida's Mr. Football last fall. Murray, though, has better numbers than his predecessor at this point.
"I think (Murray) sees the field better," DePue said. "And he's got a great arm."
As for the game? It wasn't much of one.
Murray's touchdown strikes went to four players as Plant (9-1) built a 49-0 halftime lead. Joseph Epps, Kevin James and Lovell Jackson had two touchdown catches each. Murray, playing the first half and only one play in the third quarter, went 15-of-21 for 370 yards. He threw one interception, only his second.
"We spread the ball around a lot today," Murray said.
The Panthers held Robinson (1-9) to minus-17 total yards.
"Pretty spectacular, what we did in the first half," Plant coach Robert Weiner said.
Murray has 41 touchdown passes. Marve set a state record with 48 in 15 games last season.
"I don't really care about stats," Murray said. "I could get a million TDs, but if we don't win state, it means nothing."
