Swiftmud plans public session on lake levels

The Southwest Florida Water Management District is seeking public input about proposed minimum levels for selected Pasco County lakes. Join the effort to support our troops
Card signing for soldiers is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the New River Library, 34043 State Road 54 in Zephyrhills, and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hugh Embry Library, 14215 Fourth St. in Dade City. Paper and envelopes will be donated. Each participant is asked to bring a one-gallon Ziploc bag filled with items to send to troops, including pens, stationery, stamps, playing cards, snacks, deodorant, stamps, phone cards, batteries, CDs, DVDs, socks, bar soap and sunscreen. Public transit forum on Tuesday
Pasco County Public Transportation is seeking input about the future of public transportation. A forum is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the front lobby of the East Pasco Government center in Dade City. Club to hear word on native plants
The Land O'Lakes Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Land O'Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O'Lakes Blvd. Master Gardener Peggy Gretchen will speak and give a slide presentation on landscaping and gardening with Florida native plants.
