Register on Wednesday for Lacrosse 2008
Hernando County Recreation will host a lacrosse kickoff meeting and open registration from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Powell Middle School, 4100 Barclay Ave. Details of the upcoming 2008 season will be discussed. Help infant and give blood today
Florida Blood Services will have a "Noah's Quest" blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the Home Depot on Commercial Way. The drive is to benefit Noah James Nero, the infant son of Bill and Cherish Nero of Spring Hill, who has hypoplastic left heart syndrome (born with half of a heart) and is in All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, going through a three-stage surgery. Noah, who was born Sept. 21, needs multiple blood transfusions weekly. His blood type is O-negative. All blood donors will receive a 2008 wall calendar, buy-one-get-one free admission to the Museum of Science and Industry and a cholesterol screening.
