EAST LAKE

Motorcyclist dies in crash involving suv

A 24-year-old man was killed when his Honda CBR 929 RR motorcycle collided with a Ford Explorer on Friday afternoon on East Lake Road. The Florida Highway Patrol said Silvia Sebold, 51, of Palm Harbor was driving her sport utility vehicle north on East Lake Road in the left-turn lane while Thomas Priolo of Spring Hill was heading south in the outside lane of the same street. Police said Sebold was trying to make a left turn on a green light when Priolo struck the right rear of her vehicle. He was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Highway Patrol is investigating. Charges are pending.

Interfaith event set for Thanksgiving

In the spirit of the holiday, a special interfaith Thanksgiving service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursdayat Congregation Beth Shalom, 1325 S Belcher Road, Clearwater. Musician and spiritual teacher Fred Johnson will perform. The event will be led by Rabbi David Weizman, Rabbi Danielle Upbin, the Rev. Glad McCurtain, the Rev. Leddy Hammock, the Rev. Millie Rochester, Wilmore Sadiki, Frank Wells and Steve Turner. The community is invited to attend. Admission is free. Expert to speak on health alternatives

Pamela Seefeld , a clinical pharmacist and alternative medication specialist, will talk about "Vitamins and Homeopathic Applications for Common Health Issues" at a luncheon program at noon Saturday at Countryside Country Club, 3001 Countryside Blvd. She is an international lecturer on drug-herb and vitamin-herb interactions and the proper use of botanicals. 'Groucho' showset Wednesday

The Largo Cultural Center will present An Evening with Groucho, a fast-paced comedy packed with songs, dances, ad libs and jokes. Performances are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
