Club 112 patron shot in back after argument
Police are searching for the gunman in a shooting that took place outside a nightclub early Monday. Eugene Davis, 33, of Tampa was shot once in the back as he approached his car after leaving Club 112 just before 3 a.m. Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument that started inside the club at 901 N Franklin St. A friend took Davis to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Firefighter injures knee in house fire
A Hillsborough County firefighter suffered a minor injury in a house fire Monday morning. The fire at 630 Stone Drive, which was reported at 8:45 a.m., was contained to the kitchen. No one was home at the time, Hillsborough County Fire-Rescue Capt. Bruce Delk said. The firefighter was treated for a minor knee injury and resumed work at the scene. A mother dog and two puppies were saved from the fire. Its cause remained under investigation and no damage estimate was available Monday evening.

Fire damages garage of house
A fire heavily damaged the garage of a home in Lexington Oaks on Monday afternoon. The blaze started about 3:50 p.m. inside the garage of a home at 26734 Cigar Lane. Pasco County firefighters said it took about five minutes to put the flames out. "What you see is what you get," said Pasco Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Darrell Ryales. "We kept it out of the attic." Ryales said there were four or five people and a dog inside the home when the fire started. Everyone escaped and no one was hurt.

Motorcyclist dies in crash with SUV
A 24-year-old man was killed when his Honda CBR 929 RR motorcycle collided with a Ford Explorer on Friday afternoon on East Lake Road. The Florida Highway Patrol said Silvia Sebold, 51, of Palm Harbor was driving her sport utility vehicle north on East Lake Road in the left-turn lane while Thomas Priolo of Spring Hill was heading south in the outside lane of the same street. Police said Sebold was trying to make a left turn on a green light when Priolo struck the right rear of her vehicle. He was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Highway Patrol is investigating. No charges were filed immediately.
