After some success with auctioning townhomes this year, builder Bill Covington will try the best-bidder technique again for lots he's prepared for housing at 5900 Canton St. S this weekend. The 3-acre, 10-lot Canton Oaks development will host the event from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days with bidding starting at $60,000 on two of seven remaining lots, listed at $175,000. Covington said the highest bidder will also get a year's boat storage at nearby Nautico marina. For more information, visit bestbidderevent.com.
