Results
Hole-in-One: Tina Miller aced the No. 7 hole at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Zephyrhills using her 4-iron. The hole is 185 yards long.
League play: Phyllis Schlager, Dick Schlager, Jeff Smith, and Bill Wood scored 55 as a team to win the member scramble at Hidden Creek Golf Club in late October.
Belles & Beaus: In its first week of play, the Quarry Golf Course league drew 21 players. Bill Gothe, Rick Cofman and Rick Hilton posted the lowest score of 52. Dave Campbell was closest to the pin on No. 4 and Laura McLaughlin was closest to the pin on No. 5.
The league is held every Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to noon. Cost is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers, which includes lunch and prizes. Cost also includes 18 holes of golf with a cart in the scramble format-blind draw league.
Women's league
The Honey Bees women's golf league will be held at Quail Ridge Golf & Country Club each Thursday until the end of April. Cost is $25 membership fee and start time is 8 a.m. Call Quail Ridge at 1-800-591-5040 or Joan Guilfoyle at 352 683-7882.
Tournament results
Alzheimer's Charity tournament: Sam Wilson took first place in the Alzheimer's Charity tournament Oct. 13 at the Heather Golf and Country Club in Weeki Wachee. Keith Pursell took second and Robert Allen finished third. The event raised almost $2,000 for the Alzheimer's family organization of the Forest Oaks Care Center.
Rally for the Cure: The Hernando Oaks Women's Golf Association Second Annual Rally for The Cure Golf Tournament was held Oct. 21. The event raised more than $7,500 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Tournament winners included: First Flight - Rick Dofka, Jeff Hoff, Tim Johnson, John Zoda; 2nd place - Bill and Annie Haas, Bill and Barbara Lotz. In the second flight -Heather Wertz, Dave Ford, Josh Ryle, Donna Lucas; 2nd place -Joe and Marilyn Curran, Pat and Bob Beres; and Third Flight - Pat and Gary Smith, Neil Craine, Shirley Rakulkaitis; 2nd place -Jack and Gi Keller, Pat and Fran Esposito.
Ed Rego and Nancy Zingale won the putting contest. George and Peggy Ostensen were closest to the pin on No. 3; Joanne Clay and Gary Higgins were closest on No. 11. Steve Clay and Cheryl Ferris had the men's and ladies' longest drive.
Paul Taylor won the Pot of Gold for raising $86 for the foundation. Marilyn Curran and John Stone were honored for wearing the most pink.
Zephyrhills Open: Tim Polce was the championship flight winner and overall champion of the tournament with a two-day total of 148. First Flight winner was Tim McAlvanah with a total of 155; second Flight winner was Kevin Winston with a total of 160; third Flight winner was Chuck Davis with a total of 166; fourth Flight winner was Mike Sullivan with a total of 166.
The tournament was held at Silverado Golf and Country Club.
Mike June Golf Classic: It was deja vu at the tournament as the same team repeated as champions. Steve Blummer, Steve Beck, Mark Bodine and Jim Sargent were the winning foursome.
There were 130 golfers that turned out for the tournament that benefited Mike June's family. The tournament, held Oct. 28 at the Chi-Chi Rodriguez Golf Club in Clearwater, raised $17,000.

Nov. 24: The David Reutimann Charity Event benefiting All Children's Hospital will be at Silverado. The third annual charity event is a four-person scramble shotgun, starting at 11 a.m. A dinner with an auction will take place at 6 p.m. on Nov. 23 at Silverado Golf and Country Club.

Nov. 28: The Brooksville Rotary Club will hold its Annual Golf Tournament at Brooksville Golf and Country Club at Majestic Oaks in Brooksville. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost is $70 and includes green fees, cart and dinner. The format is a four person team scramble. For more information contact Jerry Sheffield at (352) 799-2265. All proceeds benefit local charities and nonprofits that the Rotary Club of Brooksville supports.
Dec. 10: The First Tee of Brooksville and the Major League Players Association will be hosting a charity golf tournament at Brooksville Country Club. Cost is $300 per golfer and $1,000 per foursome.
